Participating, Learning & Sharing - RubyConf China2014

The sixth RubyConf China was held this November in Beijing. RubyConf China is organized annually by a group of Ruby technology fans and it is China's largest and most influential Ruby conference. Heavyweight technology leaders are invited every year to give keynote speeches and share their insights with other Ruby engineers.

Shinetech has attended RubyConf China for the past two years and our Ruby on Rails (ROR) team had the opportunity to join the event again.

We were dressed in the specially designed sweatshirts to liven our team spirit. It’s quite remarkable, if you think that only two years ago we started this with only one Ruby developer. We are growing quickly and strong!

Gao Shigang: “This is the second time I participated in RubyConf China. In my opinion, the content was more valuable than last year. Overall there were fewer topics than last year but they were very well chosen and there were more topics related to startups. Our methods were widely accepted and used in the community, so it was great to see that Shinetech is really staying ahead of the game.”

Yang Xiaomei (Rails girl J): “I feel it broadened my horizon and I learned some new methods I can apply in learning and thinking. I am proud to be a member of the Shinetech ROR team, I felt a sense of honor to represent our company at the event.”

Xu Shunfa: “The conference gave me access to the industry's most cutting-edge activities and techniques. I enjoyed meeting face-to-face with the industry elites and discussing my thoughts with them. They were all very supportive and shared some great pointers.”
